Tragedy struck in the Yar Hussain area of Swabi on Thursday morning when a man allegedly slaughtered his four minor children before taking his own life. According to Rescue 1122, local residents informed them about the presence of dead bodies at the scene.
Upon arrival, Rescue 1122 personnel discovered four lifeless bodies and transported them to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Yar Hussain. Preliminary examination revealed that the children had been slaughtered, while their father, Saif-ul-Islam, had sustained a pistol bullet wound to the head.
Rescue 1122 identified the deceased as Saif-ul-Islam (42), Zia-ul-Islam (12), Abdur Rehman (10), Sana Umar (8), and a 2-year-old girl whose name was not immediately confirmed.
Police investigators have initiated a probe into the incident, suggesting that it may have been triggered by a domestic dispute. According to authorities, Saif-ul-Islam’s wife had left their home to visit her parents.
An FIR has been lodged, and further interrogation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this horrific tragedy.
